The Geography of Grace: An Alumni Courage & Renewal® Institute for Clergy & Congregational Leaders

The Geography of Grace is a 4-day training Courage & Renewal institute for clergy and congregational leaders who have already experienced a Courage & Renewal retreat and want to adapt the Circle of Trust approach with their home communities.

Using the metaphors of geography and landscape, this program will provide leadership training and a curriculum for using the Circle of Trust® approach in congregations and small group ministries.

Session themes include:

  • A geography of grace: the lay of the land in circles of trust;

  • Vista points: landscapes of the soul;

  • Open space and empty landscapes: time for solitude, rest and renewal;

  • Looking into the well;

  • Detours: encounters with the unplanned;

  • The Horizon: where both worlds meet.

If you are planning to introduce the Circle of Trust approach to your home congregation or if you long to lead courageous conversations in your community of faith, join alumni from across North America in Mill Valley, CA on August 6-9, 2012. There will also be an opportunity for a follow-up session with leadership support for their efforts.
