Living with Compassion is designed to help you look inward to change your heart and life, and to expand how you live and interact in your relationships, community and the larger world. This one-day introductory retreat will explore the nature of compassion and its connection between what lies in our own hearts and how this impacts the world. It is designed to deepen your living of a compassionate life.
All who are interested in renewing their hearts, minds and spirits are welcome to register and attend.
This day of renewal will include creating a quiet, focused, and disciplined space—a Circle of Trust®—where personal, inner wisdom can be heard. There will be a mix of time spent in large group, small group, and individual reflection along with poetry, teaching stories, wisdom traditions, nature, and activities for exploration. The Circle of Trust® is based on the work of Parker J. Palmer, internationally renowned educator, author, speaker, and Senior Advisor for the Center of Courage & Renewal. http://www.couragerenewal.org/ Your facilitators for the day will be Laurie Hittman, Ph.D. and Mary Peters, M.S.E. Both Laurie and Mary are Courage & Renewal® Facilitators prepared by the Center for Courage & Renewal.
