“The autumn of a woman’s life is far richer than the spring if only she becomes aware in time and harvests the ripening fruit before it falls and rots and is trampled underfoot. The winter that follows is not barren if the harvest has been stored, and the withdrawal of sap is only the prelude to a new spring elsewhere.”
– Irene Claremont de Castillejo, Knowing Woman
You are invited to join me on a journey into the wisdom years of life. Whether we call it the second half, or the 3rd third, the reality is that life changes as we grow older. No choice there, but we do have choices as to how we respond. All of this takes courage and intention. I want to be part of a group of women who choose to live life fully, let go gracefully, and engage generatively. Would you like to travel together?
This series is open to any woman who finds these second half of life questions pertinent to her age and stage and finds the Circle of Trust ® model a helpful framework for her exploration.
To establish and nurture a community of women who will journey into the elder years together
To explore the important questions of this season of life, including how do we:
> transition from career to other meaningful work?
> open ourselves to the unknowable mystery of our mortality?
> share both our wisdom and our uncertainties?
> celebrate the fullness of our lives while facing the diminishment of our capacities?
> negotiate the transition from doing to being in a culture that values doing?
> clarify what still needs to be resolved in this lifetime?
> support loved ones in their final days?
> reflect on the legacy that we are creating?
> share the gifts that come with elder years?
> Other questions of importance to the group?
To have fun together!
