Are you yearning for time and space to step back from the relentless busyness of “doing” to spend time reconnecting with what really matters to you in life and work?
Do you care deeply about ensuring the work you do in your “outer world” is congruent with your “inner world”?
Do you want to deepen your leadership practice through the lens of emotional intelligence, vulnerability and authenticity?
Do you want to examine ways to intentionally grow as a leader and increase your capacity to grow and serve those whom you lead – the greatest responsibility of any leader?
If these questions resonate, then this Courage to Lead® Series may be right for you at this time in your life.
At the heart of authentic leadership is the courage to be fully human, to take risks, to care deeply, and to take action even in the midst of change and uncertainty. In a Courage to Lead® program, you will join other leaders who dare to engage their work with presence and compassion.
What’s different about this program? Moving away from a didactic approach to leadership development, Courage to Lead® makes time and space for you to bridge your inner and outer world, and be in touch with your truth at whatever level you choose, in a supportive setting. It enables practice in speaking your truth and deeply listening to yourself and others.
Who is it for? The Courage to Lead® program is for people working in private and/or public organisations, community or organisational volunteers, the self-employed and anyone who wants to sustain authentic leadership practice – living and leading from within. We are all called to lead regularly. When we adopt this wider perspective on leadership, we can see that it is both part of our everyday experience, and that it comes from within – requiring courage and wisdom. The more passionate you are about living your life fully, the more vital it is that you reflect, renew and invest in developing inner wisdom and the courage to act on it.
Past participants report powerful benefits including:
• A stronger sense of purpose and fulfilment
• Feeling recharged and ready to return as an agent of positive change
• Heightened self-awareness and ability to be fully present
• More trustworthy and compassionate relationships
The Courage to Lead® program offers an approach to leadership rooted in integrity and trust. Through the Circle of Trust® approach, developed by Parker J. Palmer and the Center for Courage & Renewal, you will:
• Expand your inner capacity to lead a more authentic, meaningful and engaged life;
• Develop your ability to listen openly and to be present to others;
• Increase your skill in asking open, honest questions that help others uncover their inner wisdom;
• Discover a process for discernment to reach clarity around key questions; and,
• Learn principles, practices and processes that can be applied to your daily life and work.
