    I was non-renewed as a new science teacher for my work trying to expose a water contamination problem in my region. The retaliation was thorough and I have been impoverished. I am not the only person who has been fired or lost their income from this work - there are about six other people. I would like nothing more than to teach science honestly to young people - there are deep challenges to doing so in a world where science is more about political science than honest inquiry.

    I really found the text therapeutic.

    As I read (Eric and Alan)I could see some of Eric in my relationship with my student and by extension in the delivery of my lessons .
    Thank you for sharing your insights.
